RENTING A VACATION HOME ON CAPE COD through Prudential Cape Shores just got even easier thanks to our new online “availability calendars.” Starting in January 2013, when you search our website for any of our 150+ homes, cottages, and condos for rent, you’ll instantly see a month-by-month calendar that indicates which weeks are still available to rent, and which have already been snapped up by other vacationers. You’ll also be able to see the weekly rental fees.
Book early to get your first choice
Although there is snow on the ground across much of New England, this is one of our busiest times to book summer rentals. The vast majority of our summer leases are finalized in January, February, and March.
What’s the rush? Prime vacation time on the Cape is the last week of July and the first three weeks in August, and those rental blocks book quickly. (You’ll likely notice on the availability calendars that those weeks fill up first.) “Some renters think that if they wait, they may be able to negotiate a discount,” says Associate Broker Sue Peters, who manages the rental business at Prudential Cape Shores. “That may or may not be true, but it’s certainly not the case for the prime weeks.”
Call us with any questions
If you spot a property online that you’d like to book, always call our office immediately. A knowledgeable agent is available during business hours seven days a week to answer any questions, reserve the property for you, and get the leasing paperwork in process. “We always like to have a phone conversation with our renters,” says Mandy Robinson, owner and Broker at Prudential Cape Shores. “That way we can be sure a house meets their needs.”
